AUSTRALIA, 2018

Another fantastic adventure - Australia is now on my best destination list!  I traveled 9112 miles (14664K) to get to the land "down under" and spent 23 fun-filled and exciting days exploring both Tasmania and the mainland.  Australia may be the smallest continent but it is one that is so diverse in history, culture, landscape, and animal life.

I traveled to "Ultimate Australia" with the tour company Overseas Adventure Travel during February and early March 2018. Eight of us went on the pre-trip to Tasmania, and eight joined the group in Melbourne.  This "dodgy lot" had a FANTASTIC tour with Mike as our tour guide. The weather was good (except for the sleet, rain, and cold at Cradle Mt., Tasmania), the food interesting (kangaroo and wallaby burgers - which I didn't try), and the people extremely courteous and friendly. My vocabulary increased a lot and I still catch myself saying something is "dodgy."

So, come along with me and let's explore Australia...           Phyllis
