I referred to the direct websites of many of the places we visited and about people we learned about.  I also read a lot of Lonely Planet, Wikipedia, and Wikitravel articles. They provide great background information and links to similar sites.  Google images was a good source for maps.  I also used Encyclopedia Britannica and the National Archives of Australia (great for primary sources).

Our tour guide, Mike, provided a cd of Aussie music that I used in the slideshows. I also purchased from iTunes some of the music as well.
